Field report / Big Flatfish(Platycephalus sp.)

DATE : October 18
PLACE : A fishing port in Shizuoka prefecture
LURE : MOON CURLY(SHRIMP GOLD)

In Spring, I caught my first Oblong rockfish in Shizuoka prefecture in the water of the fishing port.
I thought “Maybe some fish in this port came from Mikawa bay.”
I had been curious about it for a while.
I wanted to know the truth.
So I went fishing even though it was a week day.

And the truth was … it was just my imagination!!!!

When I was fishing for Marbled rockfish, a Flatfish(Platycephalus sp.) was responding to MOONCURLY.
I sometimes catch Flatfish(Platycephalus sp.), but I have never caught such a big one!!!
It was 46cm in length.

It became a side dish at a meal for the next day.
It tasted so good. My family enjoyed it as well.
Very soon we finished it off.

Geecrack new vibration lure ORENTA 70!
Grabbed the fish’s attention by reeling in ORENTA 70.
It was my first ORENTA fish!!!
The initial swimming response and the shimmy action are great.
As ORENTA 70 is available in 3 sizes, 50, 60, and 70,
we can choose the right size based on the conditions we are fishing in.

Field report / Big Oblong rockfish ?

Date : October 15 / 2016
Place : Atsumi Peninsula
Lure : MOON CURLY(SHRIMP GOLD / SINAMON BLUE F)

It’s autumn.
As it had been fine, I went fishing for rockfish.
Spawning season which is peak time to catch a lot of rockfish
is coming soon.
I expected that big pre-spawn Oblong rockfish would be caught on my lure just like last year.

However it wasn’t same as last year.
I caught three small rockfish, really small ones.

I think it’s not the peak time to catch a lot of rockfish.
I’m sure GEECRACK WORMS will produce great results when the time comes!!!
I can’t wait!!!
