Field report from Mr.Koreeda.
DATE : September 5th (Fine weather)
Place : Chitano pond
Hit lures : DACE 160 F (Tuned weight)
It has been raining on and off these days.
We had sunny days only on Friday and Saturday last week.
This week, the rain will last until Thursday.
This is the field report on the precious Saturday.
I arrived at the pond in the chilly morning.
I saw air bubbles in the water,
and the water quality was definitely different from last week.
It seemed fall turnover on the pond had already occurred.
Small Black bass took the bite quite well.
I caught one about 30 cm.
The fishing line got caught on a branch jutted out from the surface,
so I twitch the lure of the fishing line along the surface of water
to free up the fishing line.
Then a big Black bass appeared.
Hovering downward from the 30 cm Black bass.
The small one was surprised and struggled a lot,
and it sharpen appetite of the big one.
Then the big one started to strike the lure.
Since the fishing line was removed with its rebound,
I landed the Black bass.
I cast DACE 160 SP as it was super aggressive,
and followed the lure to the edge of the pond.
As the Black bass reacted to the sound of the lure landing on the water,
I reeled it in quickly and stopped suddenly
before it lost interest in the lure.
I caught the one over 50 cm, a big one of ranker size.
After that, only small Black bass hit the tackle,
and line got really dirty, so I moved to the pond among mountains.
I started wood cover fishing.
The water was a bit muddy, so I used a ROCK JIG Ⅱ(GREEN-SHINER)
with BURGLAR (SPORN-ZARI)
Since I was fishing around in a higher area,
I cast the JIG & BURGLAR really close to the
wood cover, and made it reached bottom of the water.
To make widening rings on the water occur,
I skittered bait, and pull it up just along the surface of water,
and sought Black bass effectively.
A Black bass in the water that is shallow reacted to the lure
along the surface of water, and the one in the water that is deep
reacted to it while it was sinking.
I caught 3 Black bass about 40 cm, and one about 30 cm.
Recently fishing with rubber jigs is getting more interesting again.
I think it is good to use BURGLAR with ROCK JIG , and for thick covers
it is effective to use BURGLAR with GYRO STAR3.5.
