I caught a fish at the third cast after I got the fishing point.
I used MERRY-G FX Jr. + GYRO STAR3.5.
Field report from Mr. Kitajima who is a GEECRACK field tester.
DATE : October 4th
PLACE : Kitaura(Ibaraki pref. in Japan)
Lure : TINY GILLING
Rod : GALAXXY GXY-C67M BACK STREET
For the first time in a long time, I went for half day fishing.
First, I went to Kasumigaura and did fishing for a while,
and then went to Kitaura .
I used drop shot technique with BURGLAR,
but I let a fish get away.
And then, take the wind into account,I went into a waterway.
I just used TINY GILLING instead of BURGLAR,
and cast it under an overhang.
A jet black fish started to chase it, so I gave the lure the action.
It came close to the lure, but didn’t bite.
I kept reeling in, and it started to chase the lure again.
At just the right time, I gave the lure one action!
It bit the lure and turn the other way round!!
I controlled the rod as hard as I could, and got it.
It was really heavy!
1700g / 47cm

When I took hold of the fish, I thought that it was over 50 cm.

I was a bit excited and retied fishing line.
Then went to the same area.
This time, I got one easily.
It was 46cm.
I got them in a row.
TINY GILLING, it is really awesome, isn’t it?
A fishing guide Mr. Yasui, he had a good day on Lake Biwa.
He caught the biggest one which was about 61cm
followed by 3 fish over 50 cm using punching technique.

He fully enjoyed fishing with punching technique
with GYRO STAR.

He targeted fish around weeds mat,
and punched a lot with GYRO DTAR
mainly on the North Lake.

It is still season for fishing with punching technique here in Japan!!
He used a rod
“DOUBLE DUTCH PUNCH DRUNKER” with PE66lb,
and used a lure “GYRO STAR 3.5” with 1.2 oz sinker.
The colors of GYRO STAR he used were
OKEECHOBEE-CRAW and SEXY-PINK-BLUE FLAKE.

They were the colors for today.
