Prototype of GEECRACK worm

When we were shooting a fishing movie on Ohe river,
we saw a familiar face.
It was Mr. Oya!!

We have been developing a new fishing worm with him.
He got the first prototype of the worm this morning,
and came to Ohe river for the first field test.
We asked him if we could shoot him for a movie of the new worm.
He kindly agreed to the request.

Soon after we started shooting, he caugh nice fish!
And he talked about the concept of the lure
and how he came up with the idea.

SUGURI60 / Jerk and Pause by GEECRACK FIELD TESTER Mr. Yasui

I really enjoy fishing with SUGURI60.
When I use SUGURI60, I mainly retrieve with jerk and pause.
I go to a windy side and jerk in the mid-range areas(about 2~3m) with weeds.

The key is “wind”.
This is quite importanf for me.
30 minutes or an hour after the wind blows I start fishing.
When the wind blows, baitfish gather around structures.
And bass gather around the structures where they can prowl for food and ambush baitfish.

I concentrate on the mid-range area, paying particular attention to weed edges or weed pockets.

The tactic was effective and I had a lot of bites with SUGURI60 yesterday again.

The basic technique is jerk twice or three times and pause for one second.
Jerk the rod to attract bass and entice their attention
and let it stay for a moment to allow the fish to bite.

SUGURI60 runs briskly through the water, and stops abruptly.
So, this is the technique for SUGURI60!

It’s so much fun to catch fish like this!!
