Spring tides!!
I was waiting for tide.
Strong wind and surging waves but wade fishing.
I saw bitfish such as sardine and heard the sound of fish boils as well.

First, I cast MOHICAN JOHNNY to search out fish widely,
but there was no bite.
I thought fish might stay in the deeper water.
I cast 14g jighead + GYROSTAR (# WHITE PEARL GLOW).
Soon I had a bite! I felt it clearly.
The fish was about average size, but it was very lively
and it wasn’t easy to land it.

After landing it, I looked inside the mouth of the fish.
It was just before swallowing the bait.

Fish were biting like crazy.
Gyrostar looks just like the prey that bass are feeding on.

I caught fish on DaisySpin and ORENTA50,
but as it was really windy fish moved down to deeper water.
I am an shallow fishing angler so the fishing condition was a bit tough.

Anyway the results were…

・40cm – one fish
・35cm – one fish
・20cm ~ 25cm – 30 fish

There was an area which held a lot of fish.
(Windy sunny area with timber)
I caught about 20 fish only in the area.

Field report / Sea bass caught on DaisySpin

o0640048013790373505

Date : October 29
Place : A river in Shizuoka prefecture / Japan
Lure : DaisySpin3/8oz(Blue-Chart-Back)
Rod : DD GALAXXY GXY-C70H DRAG STAR

It rained the day before I went fishing.
The river became swollen with water.
I wanted it to rain more though.
I had planned to go to a river which is far from my area first
but I didn’t felt like going there and went fishing on my local river.

I went fishing for sea bass three weeks ago.
I found a boil after I cast my lure, but it wasn’t close to my lure.
I cast SUGURI60 and had a bite, but the hooked sea bass jumped and shook its head trying to throw a hook or lure and I wasn’t able to catch it.
I had many short bites after that, but wasn’t able to set the hook .

I cast DaisySpin just for a change, and finally caught one!
It was 73cm in length.
When I miss a bite and attempt to set the hook again, Daisy Spin works really well.
